Local Visit - Cathay City
22 October 2024
The HSYS5023 students had the wonderful opportunity to visit Cathay City. This visit provided valuable insights into how a leading airline operates. The students gained an overall understanding of the key challenges Cathay Pacific faces, the essential control processes put in place to ensure quality and safety, and the importance of fostering a strong organizational culture.

Shanghai and Hangzhou Study Tour 2024
8 - 12 October 2024
The participants from MSc in Health Services Management (MScHSM) and Professional Certificate in Health System Leadership (HSL) participated in a study tour to Shanghai and Hangzhou, visiting several hospitals, medical centers and healthcare innovation companies. These enriching experiences provided a deeper understanding to our students about health and healthcare systems different from those in Hong Kong.

Local Visit - The Project Futurus

Students from the HSYS5022 Corporate Communication and Marketing course had the incredible opportunity to visit The Project Futurus. This visit provided them with a deeper understanding of aged care.

MScHSM Class Activities
Students participated in a debate forum and role play to practice crisis communication in HSYS5020 Corporate Communication and Marketing and HSYS5021 Advanced Organization Management. For instance, they role-played as different stakeholders, honing their skills in managing and communicating during crisis situations in HSYS5020.

Netherlands Study Tour 2019

MScHSM, HSL students and alumni visited several elderly housings, medical centres, healthcare innovation companies and end-of-life centre in the Netherlands.
Site Visit Highlight: Humanitas Deventer (Nursing Home), Topaz/Carebuilder (Rehab hotel), Hogeweyk Dementia Village, Buurtzorg, Vilans (Nursing agency), Silverfit, Amsterdam UMC, Habion (Developer of elderly housing) and EPAU(Palliative Care).

Taiwan Study Tour 2017

The six-days Taiwan Study Tour was successfully held in Oct this year. It was very fruitful that students gained good insights into the health system and health services management in Taiwan as well as meeting a group of friends from the healthcare sector. We are sure this trip would be memorable to them.

Site Visit - Tuen Mun Hospital and Maggie’s Centre
20 May 2019
Led by Prof Leung, MScHSM students spent a nice afternoon in May visiting TMH oncology department as well as Maggie's Centre, the first cancer caring centre offering free practical and psychosocial support to cancer patients and their families in the region.
Participants were all amazed by the ambience there.
